this-old-dark-machine asked: Hey man, I was wondering what type of bike you ride, I think it's beautiful and I'm looking for something similar, could you help me out?
She’s an old 1975 Honda CB360, with roughly 11,000 miles, that I picked up last fall. Luckily, she’s in really great shape as the previous owner kept her inside and took terrific care of her. I only need to upgrade the Rectifier/Regulator so that I can run a modern high watt headlight, along with a few other odds and ends. But she runs great, she’s mechanically sound, and she’s ready to ride.
If you’re looking for one, you could probably pick up a good, sound bike, for around a grand, which is about what I paid for mine. The only thing with the CB360’s is parts can be a little tougher to find. They only made the 360’s from 74 through 76, and for some reason the bike wasn’t as popular as it’s predecessor, the CB350, despite numerous upgrades…like available disc brakes. Anyway, they tend to be overlooked by the aftermarket suppliers…and many parts for the 350 will not fit the 360. So that’s something you may want to consider. Or you could always step up to the CB400 - CB750, but they may be a bit more expensive…and I’d recommend upgrading the brakes, because the engine’s larger and has a bit more power than the 350s, but they still have the same brakes. Plus these old Hondas aren’t exactly known for their outstanding handling, so it’s a good idea to add a little more stopping power in my opinion.
And here are few great cafe shops you may be interested in checking out.
I hope that helps you out, but if you have any questions, let me know and I’ll be glad to answer whatever I can.
Barbour Black Streak
As someone who appreciates craftsmanship and quality products, I find comfort in seeing Barbour take a more active role in promoting the history of it’s International motorcycle jackets.
Remember when I said I bought a motorcycle earlier in the week? Well here she is, a 1975 Honda CB360. It was sunny and a warm 65 degrees here today so it would have been a great day to ride, but I haven’t gotten the M classification yet added to my license yet.
