this-old-dark-machine asked: Hey man, I was wondering what type of bike you ride, I think it's beautiful and I'm looking for something similar, could you help me out?

She’s an old 1975 Honda CB360, with roughly 11,000 miles, that I picked up last fall.  Luckily, she’s in really great shape as the previous owner kept her inside and took terrific care of her.  I only need to upgrade the Rectifier/Regulator so that I can run a modern high watt headlight, along with a few other odds and ends.  But she runs great, she’s mechanically sound, and she’s ready to ride.

If you’re looking for one, you could probably pick up a good, sound bike, for around a grand, which is about what I paid for mine.  The only thing with the CB360’s is parts can be a little tougher to find.  They only made the 360’s from 74 through 76, and for some reason the bike wasn’t as popular as it’s predecessor, the CB350, despite numerous upgrades…like available disc brakes.  Anyway, they tend to be overlooked by the aftermarket suppliers…and many parts for the 350 will not fit the 360.  So that’s something you may want to consider.  Or you could always step up to the CB400 - CB750, but they may be a bit more expensive…and I’d recommend upgrading the brakes, because the engine’s larger and has a bit more power than the 350s, but they still have the same brakes.  Plus these old Hondas aren’t exactly known for their outstanding handling, so it’s a good idea to add a little more stopping power in my opinion.

And here are few great cafe shops you may be interested in checking out.

I hope that helps you out, but if you have any questions, let me know and I’ll be glad to answer whatever I can.

Anonymous asked: should you really be calling girls who aren't your gf 'pretty'?

Well this is an odd comment.  It looks like you don’t have a good understanding of our relationship.  You see, it isn’t based on jealousy and mistrust, as you so obviously assume.  But since you’re so concerned, let’s review…

If I’m not mistaken, I believe my comment on her outfit was, “You look pretty. Well done!”  Rogni put this outfit together and had then taken the time to snap multiple photos and edit them and post them on her blog.  She put some thought into her work, which I appreciate, so I paid her a simple compliment on her nice work and appearance, not some vulgar flirtation as your comment implies.  Second, Rosey has more confidence than you’re giving her credit for. She isn’t the type of person to get upset because I think another girl is pretty or looks nice, because as far as who I’m attracted to, Rosey doesn’t have anything to worry about and she knows it.

Thank you, but all the credit goes to Moscot on West 14th Street in NYC. When you get to the City you have to stop by.

I….don’t know what to say.  This is, by far, the funniest comment I’ve ever received. I feel like you should get a prize or something. It’s too bad you’re anonymous.

oeh asked: what's your favourite restaurant in brooklyn? have you been to Goods in williamsburg?

Well, they’re not really restaurants, they’re coffee houses, but I’m a big fan of The Pulp & The Bean and Cafe Grumpy (both in Greenpoint and in Chelsea). My favorite restaurant is actually in Chinatown, it’s Nha Hang Pho Viet Huong. They have the best pho around and it’s only $5.50 for a bowl and a pot of tea. It’s at 69 Mulberry Street if you’re ever in the area and want to check it out.

And no, I’ve never been to Goods. What’s their story?

Anonymous asked: What is the most daring thing you've done?

Last summer I quit a very well paying job in Charlotte, NC, in the midst of a terrible job market, and moved to New York City for a lady I was very in love with, but somehow knew was very wrong for me.  I did this for love and the adventure of it all. Needless to say we didn’t work out and the whole thing was a complete disaster from which I am still recovering. C’est la vie, sometimes things just don’t work out, but I’m glad I had the courage to take the chance.  I would rather seize the opportunity and have things not work out, than for to opportunity present itself but not have the courage to reach up and grab it.
